The people you work. In one book.

Star someone on Operators to save them — even before you key with them. Two-way keys in the same room within about fifteen minutes also propose a contact you can Confirm. Settings no longer has a separate Net contacts list. This is the book.

How it fills

Star, confirm, or scan

☆ on Operators and Save on the on-air banner write Magic Book. While you are Connected, a Stage inbox card stays open so you can Confirm or Dismiss. Missed a busy room? Magic Book → Scan for contacts checks the last twelve hours.

Logbook (licensed hams)

Official two-way QSOs you confirm. Export ADIF when you want the record on QRZ or LoTW. This is not the Desktop audio recorder.

Contacts (GMRS & MP-*)

People you starred or confirmed — notes, favorites, mutual high-fives, and net stats. Contacts is not an FCC ham log.

Message from a card

When the station has a Magic PTT account, tap Message to open a 1:1 chat. First-time threads work — you do not need an old conversation.

Not Magic Book

Audio log is a different tool

Desktop Local PTT log records TX and RX clips to a folder you pick. Magic Book never records audio. Encrypted My Room and public SHTF nets stay on their own paths — the book is your people, not the voice servers.
